CAPTAIN MIKE RIO
Captain Michael Rio is a Florida Native who loves to spend his days on the beautiful waters of the Florida Keys, fishing or free diving the reefs in search of fish and lobster to cook at home. Capt. Mike is very passionate about the vast ecosystem of the Florida Keys. He will teach you about the fish, birds, and other wildlife you may encounter. You will also hear about the mangroves, patch reefs, and barrier reefs, and why they are so important. After obtaining his USCG Captains License and CPR/First Aid Certifications in 2010 Capt. Mike went on to pursue a career as a First Officer/ Relief Captain in the yachting industry where his attention to detail in preparedness and customer service was amplified to a professional level. in 2013 the yacht that Mike worked on Sailed into Key west. After weeks of touring the town and waters he fell in love with Key West and left his yachting adventures with the sole purpose of starting "Key West Charters" for him to share his passion, vibes, and love for the ocean with others.
